City2Nite is committed to ensuring digital accessibility for people of all abilities. We continually improve the user experience for everyone and apply the relevant accessibility standards. We aim to conform to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 at Level AA. These guidelines explain how to make web content more accessible for people with disabilities, and more user-friendly for everyone.
Measures Taken to Improve Accessibility
- Improved color contrast across the site to meet WCAG 2.1 AA standards (4.5:1 for normal text, 3:1 for large text and user interface components)
- Fixed heading structure to follow a logical, sequential order to support screen reader navigation
- Ensured every page exposes a main content landmark for assistive technology
- Added meaningful alternative text to informative images
Known Limitations
- Some “View Event” buttons share identical visible text; adding distinct programmatic labels requires custom code beyond the current scope.
- Some embedded videos do not include caption tracks.
